One simple but elegant dish I learned how to make was Creme Brulee. It is amazing how you could take some basic ingredients and create a dessert that offers a very unique taste and texture with layers of flavor. The thing I love the most is torching the granulated sugar on top to add the caramel flavor and that crispy crunch.
